If you want to see Australia’s best slog it out in the ultimate championship of Hexis wrapping, you won’t want to miss Visual Impact Sydney next month, where Hexis Australia will host the second round of its Hexis ‘World Battle’ Wrap competition.

“The World Battle made its Australian debut at VI in Brisbane earlier this year, when nerve-wracking daily contests created enormous excitement and really showcased the strength and skill of the operators in our industry,” says Ian Parsonson, Managing Director of Hexis Australia. “Now, we’re looking forward to the second round of champions showing off their skills in Sydney.”

Each day of the show will see industry heavyweights take to the ring in a series of 15 minute qualifying rounds, where each of four participants will be asked to wrap a panel of the Hexis “Battle Shield”. $1000 in vouchers is up for grabs each day, with performances scored by three local Hexis trainers assisted by Sylvene Poncet, Head of International Sales from Hexis, France, who is flying in for the show.

Daily champions will then compete in a showdown to determine who will take home the prize purse of vouchers worth $6000…and which two Sydney contenders will meet their Brisbane counterparts in the ultimate championship round on Friday 14 September at the show.

Quite apart from the glory of being named 2018 Australian Hexis World Battle Wrap Champion, the ultimate winner will also score a trip to France to visit the Hexis production facility at Frontingnan, staying in Montpellier and enjoying a two-day stopover in Paris on the return journey.

As well as the Battle, Hexis Australia is running a separate design competition for graphic designers, with a $1000 product voucher on offer and the winning design set to be used to wrap Hexis’ vehicles.

“The design element is a critical part of the process and we wanted to give the graphic designers out there a chance to shine,” says Parsonson. “You don’t win the battles in this business without landing blows in all key areas – from design, to production and installation.”

To deliver the knock-out blow, true champions also need to be backed by the strength of a top product, he adds, saying this is where the Hexis range of wrap films, textured laminates and printable vinyls really helps win the day.

“With market leading products like the highly-conformable Skintac HX 190WG2 printable cast PVC film, wrap specialists can deliver consistently high quality results while cutting application time – the ultimate ‘one-two’ combination for vehicle wrap success.”

As well as seeing the products in action at the World Battle, Parsonson says the company will have a comprehensive range on display on the Hexis stands B8 and B10 at the show.

Entries for the qualifying rounds of the Battle are open, with details at www.hexis.com.au/battle while creatives interested in the design competition should email Rebecca at info@hexis.com.au for T&Cs.

Visual Impact will be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush, from 12 – 14 September. Check the website for more information or register online here.
