EFI buys Spanish software developer Inèdit
Electronics For Imaging has acquired Inèdit Software, a developer of raster image processors (RIPs) and related software for digital industrial textile printing. Inèdit will be integrated into the EFI’s Reggiani textile business. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bangladesh depot fire made worse due to mislabelled chemicals
Many labels for chemical drum containers are printed on wide format digital printers, due to their oversize capabilities and shorter runs. At Chittagong, Bangladesh 3 days ago, mislabeled Hydrogen Peroxide was doused with water when a container depot caught fire. This caused a further explosion and loss of life - foam should have been used, but firefighters, nine of whom are still missing, were misled by the labels (from BBC/AFP report)

HP and Canva shut down Russian operations over Ukraine war
HP Inc, posting a jump in Q2 revenue to $16.5bn, said it had begun the process of fully winding down all company operations in Russia over the war in Ukraine. Australian-owned global graphic design software company Canva has blocked access to its platform in Russia after speaking with the Ukrainian government.
