“We’ve made changes due to the nature of the work starting to come into the Sign and Display and Structural Packaging areas - which many of the Signage teams are also involved with,” Pride in Print manager Sue Archibald told WFOL. “There is some amazing work being done out there and we want to be able to have the categories correct to adequately showcase the work. Last year’s growth caught us slightly off guard so we have remedied this. I am sure moving forward this will be continually tweaked as the work into these areas is so diverse.

The changes include:

- The refinement of the Sign and Display and Label areas to ensure work being undertaken in this area is fairly captured.

- The introduction of Structural Design Packaging

- The separation of Flexible Packaging entries from Paper and Board Packaging

- The separation of Self Promotion into a stand-alone category.

The Sign & Display Print section now includes awards for: Point of Sale Display Stands; Point of Sale Display Boards; Outdoor Signage & Billboards; Indoor Signage; Interior Décor & Design Jobs; Exterior Décor and Design Jobs; Soft Signage;  Vehicle Graphics; Functional; Innovation in Sign & Display Specialist Design; and Other.

Entry deadlines have also changed, with early entry closing January 17th 2020.

“The great thing about Pride In Print is that it is always evolving to suit the industry as it is a vehicle to promote the best of the best in New Zealand print work across all sectors,” says Archibald.  “Judging is in March in Auckland. Early entry closes 17th January this year with the later entry closing 28th February.”
