Konica Minolta has thrown its financial support behind Breast Cancer Network Australia’s 55 Hours of Giving campaign and will match public donations over a 55-hour period to double the impact of the campaign, which runs until Friday afternoon.

“Most people have been affected by breast cancer in one way or another, as a survivor, friend or family member and we’re incredibly proud to help BCNA provide the information, care and support when it’s most needed,” says Shane Blandford, chief marketing and innovation officer, Konica Minolta.

The 55 Hours of Giving campaign will run from 8.00am AEST 24 June to 3.00 pm AEST 26 June. Every day this year, 55 Australians will be told they have breast cancer, which means 20,000 more women and 170 more men will be diagnosed with the disease in 2020.

“In 2020, BCNA is relying more than ever on the generosity of partners and the community to provide additional support and resources for Australians living with breast cancer, their families and friends.

“These additional resources have so far included: extending BCNA’s helpline hours to 7 days a week, as required; ensuring up-to-date, accurate information is available on the My Journey online tool; and producing a special COVID-19 podcast series."

The 55 Hours of Giving campaign is now undereway and runs until 3.00 pm AEST 26 June. You can click here to double your donation during that time.

Konica Minolta has been a proud supporter of BCNA since 2013, supporting annual fundraising campaigns, as well as employee matched giving, fundraising, volunteering and in-kind support.

BCNA is Australia’s leading breast cancer consumer organisation. It provides free programs and services to inform and support people with breast cancer, including a Helpline – 1800 500 258 – and the My Journey online tool – www.myjourney.org.au – an information resource for people diagnosed with breast cancer.
