Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has announced the forming of a joint venture partnership with NAPCO Media, a business-to-business media company, and together they will form a new entity - PRINT United.

“PRINT United reflects what we understand is taking place in the larger community of print. It is supported by anecdotal reports from exhibitors and printers and is backed up by research across all of the print segments,” said Rich Thompson of Ad Graphics, Chairman of the SGIA Board of Directors. “The convergence of technology and capabilities underway is leading printers to expand their services and products into adjacent markets very rapidly, creating new opportunities and growing their businesses as a result. PRINT United will present a broad vision of these opportunities under one roof as well as the means for printers to expand their businesses.”1 sgia logo

As a result of this partnership, the SGIA Expo will retire following this year’s event in Las Vegas, 18-20 October, and lend its support to a new PRINT United Expo, the first of which will take place in Dallas in October 2019.

The new event - co-owned by SGIA and Napco Media - will cover print and finishing technologies in industry segments from garment to graphics, packaging to commercial, and industrial. Its objective is to convey all components of integrated solutions to satisfy virtually any client need.

Print United will combine the largest printing trade show in North America with the leading producer of multi-channel content for the print community.
