Delicious Branding by Sign Network - C15 Corporate Brand - Interpretation & Delivery

Sign Network won the coveted People’s Choice award for its entry Delicious Branding in the category Corporate Brand - Interpretation & Delivery.  The company helped cafe and retail store The Mediterranean Food Co (Med Foods) with its new premises in the Riverside Markets.

“The most challenging part of the installation was drilling into the very expensive Italian tiles that had been imported from Europe especially for the job (they had 12 spare tiles in the country) - we did a bit of testing with different drill bits to ensure a combo that didn't crack or break the tiles,” said an entry description. “As this wall backed straight on to a neighbouring tenant we had no cavity to work with in regards to the wiring. We were able to cut out a panel of the gib wall where the cupboards would eventually go and carefully feed our wiring up through this way.

“The large illuminated sign was constructed using 36mm signex letters, we cut these on the router (upside down) and machined out the back of the letters creating a track for the LED's and a shelf for the diffuser acrylic plus the mounting points for the stand-offs - we then flipped the letters over and carefully routered out the 2mm inlay channel for the bronze to fit snuggly into leaving a 5mm black boarder - this was the first time we'd done any double-sided precision cutting on our router so quickly had to make some jigs to ensure the positioning was perfect. We spray-painted the letters gloss black."

“So grateful to be heading home from the NZ Sign & Display Awards with 7 Awards in total - our best ever result,” the company said on Facebook. “So proud of our team and the business which of course would be nothing without the support of our family and friends and most importantly our outstanding clients!!.”
