In a brief update from the Federal Court, October 1st will be earliest date for a hearing, unless adjourned again.

The case involves alleged accounting irregularities in 2015-2016 and helped stymie Fujifilm's $6billion takeover of Xerox

The complex legal case - actually now legal cases - has once again been adjourned, to a date not before October 1st 2021. It is being heard by Justice Colvin in the Perth, WA division of the Federal Court, although a NSW Court case.

To recap, the original case where Fuji Xerox and Fuji Xerox Finance sued Neil Whittaker, Devlin Bell (both former FX employees) and also EY (accounting firm Ernst & Young) and EA Lang (an EY partner), has spawned three cross-claim cases:

EY together with EA Lang has cross-claimed against Fuji Xerox, Fuji Xerox Finance, Neil Whittaker and Devlin Bell.

Neil Whittaker has cross-claimed against Devlin Bell, EY and EA Lang

Devin Bell has cross-claimed against Neil Whittaker, EY and EA Lang

Fuji Xerox has since changed its name to Fujifilm Business Information.

It would be unsurprising if the case was adjourned again in October.
