The Sign & Print Career Connections program, an industry-wide initiative featuring six associations to attract new talent to the print, sign and wider graphics sector, will make its debut the week beginning 11th March at the Victorian Careers & Employment Expo in Melbourne.

ASGA trainig certIIIThis is the first time six associations have combined to promote Sign & Print careers to schools

The initiative is led by supplier association Visual Connections in partnership with the Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA), FESPA Australia, the Flexible Packaging & Label Manufacturers’ Association (FPLMA), the LIA and the Visual Media Association (VMA), in a genuine ‘whole of industry’ approach.

It will take information about opportunities across the entire spectrum of the sector to thousands of Years 9 – 12 students around the country over the coming months, with a brand new stand, brochure and online resource designed to engage, inform and resource them to pursue an industry career.

The program kicks off at the Victorian Careers & Employment Expo on Thursday 14th March. The team, including careers advisors from AusSIP, Visual Connections representatives, TAFE teachers and apprentices from Victoria University Polytechnic, and industry volunteers, can be found at Site 86 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

The Sign & Print Career Connections program is made possible with the generous support of industry sponsors, including major sponsors Amari Visual Solutions, Ball & Doggett, Cactus Imaging, Fujifilm Graphic Systems, Graphic Art Mart, Mulford Australia, ORAFOL, Pozitive Sign & Graphics Supplies and Sign-a-Rama, and partnering sponsors Böttcher, FPLMA, Hero Print,  MacDirmid Graphic Solutions and Spicers.

The Victorian Careers & Education Expo runs from 9am – 3pm Thursday 14th and Friday 15th, and 9am to 4pm on Saturday 16th March.
