Vibrant colours and eye-catching imagery add to the appeal of “Little Puff” one of the features at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.

The Allen’s candy train is a hit with the kids said Kent Wiggins, Managing Director of Out There Media who printed the panels for client Nestlé on the company’s HP Designjet L65500 with Latex inks.

LittlePuff“Little Puff is a real drawcard for the kids, but because it’s in a high exposure area at Dreamworld surrounded by vibrant buildings and signage the prints for the train need to be equally vivid to stand out. That’s where the wide colour gamut of the Designjet is invaluable,” said Kent whose company was one of the first to install the HP Designjet L65500 when it was released.

Kent said the quality of the prints from the HP Designjet L65500 is “second to none and they stand the test of time outdoors. We’ve also found that HP’s curing technology doesn’t compromise the integrity of the vinyl’s adhesive which makes applying the panels that much easier”.

Based in Alexandria in Sydney, Out There Media specialises in vehicle and fleet wraps as well as signage for experiential retail promotions for a broad base of national clients.

“These days with the HP Latex inks we go from print to over-laminate to dispatch within a matter of hours as opposed to days as was the case when we worked with a solvent platform. The HP Designjet L65500 is our primary printer as it can handle the whole gamut of jobs that we produce and we output the equivalent of around one kilometre of prints a week. With that kind of volume the Designjet is a great production printer,” he concluded.
