Workflow automation solution company Enfocus has announced a brand-new group of Switch Certified Experts in Australia.

The Switch Certified Expert group provides a higher level of support and expertise to customers in integrating Enfocus Switch-based automation within prepress, print and publishing production workflows.

While Switch is relatively simple to implement for smaller automation projects, customers often need help to integrate this automation into larger, more complex workflows. By providing the marketplace with a reliable group of Switch Certified Experts who have experience in Switch integration, Enfocus is able to help these customers.

The Enfocus Switch product family is a hot folder-based workflow automation solution designed to automate as many repetitive tasks as possible. It allows users to spend their time on more productive activities without being concerned about errors that can easily occur during the performance of repetitive tasks. Automating these tasks with Switch ensures accuracy and increases employee satisfaction as their attention is turned to more challenging activities. For effective Switch integrations in complex environments however, a more profound knowledge of both Switch and an array of third party products is required. This includes proficiency in all of the graphic design and prepress applications commonly used in the printing and publishing industries.

Enfocus already has a robust sales channel in Australia, but not all of those partners have expertise as technical integrators. While with ColourProcess the company already has numerous Switch installations in Australia, they realized that automation needs an extra boost. With the new Switch Certified Expert programme, Enfocus offers an additional layer of support, encouraging these channel partners to pursue more complex Switch integrations, particularly when extensive technical knowledge is required.

Top-level experience in integrated automation solutions
Enfocus is launching the Switch Certified Expert programme in Australia with a group of
professionals, specialized in diverse areas of the printing and publishing sector. This ranges from colour management and proofing to editorial systems, MIS/metadata, imposition and more. They are supported by Enfocus technical and development resources as needed to ensure successful integrations.

“At PS Australia, we have always believed in working with a channel that is well-educated in the Enfocus software range,” says Mark Riddiough, Managing Director of PS Australia, the Enfocus distributor for Australia. “The new Switch Certified Expert programme extends the expertise of our existing channel partners, opening the door to new business opportunities in more complex environments. Customers in Australia are welcome to contact us to find out how they can more confidently implement Switch workflow automation solutions with local expertise at their fingertips.”

Extensive support for customers
The programme offers a new platform for the Switch Certified Experts to share their experience across a wide range of users and they are available to:

Visit a customer site whenever additional support to assess customer requirements and potential solutions is required.
Create simple proof-of-concept Switch-based workflows.
Build prototype workflows on a contracted basis using customer files and production environments.
Manage the full development and implementation of complex Switch integrations.

Because of the experience of the Switch Certified Experts and the flexibility of Switch, most Switch integration projects are well within the budget range for small to medium-sized businesses. Average engagements are three to five days, but can also be effective in a one-day engagement focused on expanding an existing Switch installation.
