Printers attending FESPA Asia 2011 (Suntec Singapore, 26 - 28 October 2011) will have access to a world-class conference programme, with five focused half-day programmes to meet a variety of interests, all free of charge to exhibition visitors.

The overall programme offers some twenty conference sessions across the three days of the show, covering global trends, business opportunities, new technology directions, innovative applications and cutting edge print techniques.

The speaker line-up includes thought leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as introducing global expertise from Europe and the Americas. The content will combine factual and educational content with inspirational real-business case studies. All sessions will be simultaneously translated from English into Mandarin Chinese and Thai.

The first morning’s programme (Wednesday 26th October) is focused on Research & the Customer’s Perspective. Speakers from leading Asian creative agencies will offer important insights into the changing demands of brand owners and print buyers, following an overview of the Evolution of Print based on recent global research conducted by FESPA. This session will culminate in a moderated panel discussion, seeking to reach conclusions as to how printers can optimise their response to the client brief. During the afternoon, delegates will explore alternative Business Models, including innovative case studies from print and textile entrepreneurs in China and Australia who have pursued new paths to commercial success.

On Day 2 of the show (Thursday 27th October), visitors can join sessions devoted to Digital and Screen Printing, covering business-critical topics such as workflow, colour management, finishing, and special effects. Channelling the expertise of Asian printers and equipment and consumables vendors, participants will hear examples of best practice and gain insights into how latest technologies and techniques can open attractive business opportunities.

The third day programme hones in on the ongoing growth of Textile Printing, looking - among other topics - at the emergence of digital textile printing, the era of mass garment customisation and the digital garment supply chain.

The FESPA Asia 2011 Conference offers total flexibility, enabling visitors to select the sessions that interest them. The venue is a purpose-built theatre on the FESPA Asia show floor, allowing delegates to optimise their time at the event, taking in both the technology exhibits and conference sessions under one roof, with no time wasted moving between venues.

“Education, knowledge exchange and sharing best practice are the cornerstones of FESPA’s mission”, explains FESPA Head of Events and New Media, Duncan MacOwan, who will speak at the conference. “As a not-for-profit organisation, we are wholly committed to reinvesting to assure the sustained growth and competitiveness of our global community of printers. High calibre conferences that are free for visitors to access alongside our shows are an important aspect of this reinvestment promise, and add considerably to the tangible value that Asian business owners and managers will take from a trip to this autumn’s event in Singapore.”
