McIntyre has extensive experience with the MACtac range of products, which will be pivotal in expanding DES’s exposure to the sign, display, POP and billboard markets.

“I’m delighted to take on the responsibility of this role with DES, and I’m looking forward to developing this market as it grows in Australia. DES has a deserved reputation as a leader in the graphics industry, and I’m sure we can provide not just the high quality MACtac products already well accepted in Australia, but exceptional service and support for those products to all our customers,” Bob McIntyre said.

Russell Cavenagh, Sales Director at DES Pty Ltd, said, “We’d like to welcome Bob to the DES team, and look forward to working together to enhance and grow the support our graphics customers already enjoy by adding the MACtac range of products to our portfolio. DES is fully committed to providing unparalleled service and product support for all our graphics customers, and having Bob on board, with his vast experience, will help us to achieve that.”

DES expects to announce several new staff appointments in the future as it grows its share of this burgeoning market. DES Managing Director, Ian Clare, confirmed that the additions will strengthen the sales and marketing capabilities of the team that will service the MACtac range, including self-adhesive film products for floor and wall graphics, poster and automotive applications and related industry applications.

Clare is currently in Europe after attending Label Expo in Brussels, Belgium. He met with senior executives from MACtac to cement the companies’ relationship, and discuss new business development opportunities for both companies in the Australian graphics market.
