With opening of the second plant in Lienz, Austria, Durst Phototechnik AG ended 2011 with a sales increase of more than 32% (2011 total about 170 million euros). Contributing to this great growth were both the ceramics printing sector (the Gamma line) and the LFP (Rho line). In 2012, in addition to label printing (Tau line) the Durst portfolio was expanded to textiles printing (Kappa line).

And precisely the ceramics and textiles printing sectors showed heavy growth in Southeast Asia, to which Durst responded by intensifying its presence in the region, in Singapore opening its own distribution company, Durst Asia Pty, and additional technical assistance and consultancy offices in other Asian countries like India. Durst Asia Pty will concentrate its business on the LFP sector and in the spring will launch on some selected Southeast Asian markets its Omega 1 8-color hybrid flatbed with 1728 dpi resolution already very popular in Europe.
