Seal Graphics, a division of Neschen AG, will use Starleaton’s PrintCom stand at this month’s Visual Impact Image Expo, Sydney, for the global release of an all-new laminator.

The Seal 65EL will be on Starleaton’s stand, H5, in the PrintCom area where John Buitenkamp, Head of Machinery from Seal in the Netherlands will be running live demonstrations using Neschen’s new water-based adhesive laminates.

SEAL 65ELDesigned as an easy-to-use large format entry level laminator, the 65EL still offers many advanced features. The extended laminating width to 1650mm (65”) makes it a perfect partner for laminating photographs, posters, vehicle wrap vinyls and other oversize jobs. The target applications include: rigid displays, flexible displays, photographic enlargements, long-life vehicle graphics, floor graphics, pop-up displays and backlit advertising panels.

Starleaton General Manager Ben Eaton says: “We are honoured to be chosen by Seal for the worldwide launch of the 65EL. It brings robust and reliable Seal quality to a wider audience of Sign Shops, Service Bureaux, Quick Printers and Inhouse Corporations. Lamination considerably extends the life and visual appeal of printed graphics and, with Neschen’s new range of water-based adhesive films, the environment is better off too.”

The 65EL has a strong uniframe construction, autogrip shafts, a 25mm nip to cover almost all popular flexible and rigid substrates, and operates at a constantly monitored pressure to eliminate operator errors. Controls are simple and a flip-up feed table makes roll changes easy. Production speed is user-selectable up to 4.25 metres per minute. For orders placed at PrintCom/VIEE, it will be offered at below $12,000.

“The 65EL is a laminator for our times,” says Eaton, “as more businesses get into large format graphics, they may not have access to skilled finishing operators who are trained on faster, more complex laminating machines. The 65EL enables high-end cold laminating protection to be achieved by almost anybody, at a price that any sign or graphics shop can afford.”
