A clear view of the future is vital for an industry in transition. That’s why the PacPrint13 Forum Series will be firmly on the future says Bill Healey, CEO of Printing Industries, which is organising the popular series in co-operation with the PacPrint13 Board.

“Print and graphic communications is in the middle of a period of unprecedented change and, in order to chart a course for success, it’s important for business owners to have as clear a view as possible of where that future is leading,” Healey says. “Painting a picture of that future, in both general and industry-specific terms, and giving businesses the resources they need to transition in the best possible way, will be our aim for the PacPrint13 Forum Series.
“Printing Industries has always supported the educational component of exhibitions like PacPrint, which is a ‘once in four year’ opportunity not only to see new products and services first hand, but to learn as much as possible about what is happening in our industry, and we are delighted to be involved once again in co-ordinating the PacPrint13 Forums.”
The Series, themed “An Industry in Transition”, will comprise three sessions running from 11am to 12.30pm on 22, 23 and 24 May next year, complementing the exhibition which runs from 21-25 May at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The topics to be covered will be:
•    How the World Will Change in the next 20 years…and the implications for business
•    Perspectives on Print – Past, Present & Future
•    Leadership & Managing Successful Transitions
Healey says that the Forum Series speakers will be announced in the New Year, however his team is already excited by the positive response from the high-calibre speakers who have been approached.  “We have some excellent people lined up, so it’s safe to say the tradition of quality presenters, from both inside and outside the industry, will continue,” he says.  Session facilitators will include Joan Grace, Steve Crowe and Bill Healey and, as in past years, the sessions will be totally free of charge to PacPrint13 visitors and exhibitors.
PacPrint13 Chairman Ian Martin says the Forum Series will add enormous value to what is already shaping up as a vital show for businesses as they plan their own transitions to the future.
“As exhibitors continue to book and to share their plans with us, it’s clear that PacPrint13 will be a show characterised by ideas and innovation, and complemented by other highlights including the co-location of the Visual Impact Image Expo (VIIE),” Martin says.
“The Forum Series adds enormous value for visitors, enabling them to access thought leaders and experts who can spark ideas, confirm trends and suggest directions for future success. It’s the ideal complement to the exhibition itself, where those ideas and inspirations can be translated into action with careful planning and investment decisions.”
