Finchers and DES Pty Ltd are pleased to announce the merger of its two companies in WA, effective from 1 August 2013.

Finchers have been a long established supplier into the AEC, Graphic Arts and Sign & Display market in Western Australia. For many years they have acted as DES’s main Western Australian sales agent.

DES, established in 1987 is a leading supplier of consumable products, printers and support into the sign and display, graphic arts and AEC, markets in the eastern states of Australia. It is the distributor of many major brands including:

The amalgamation of these two well-known suppliers will create the most comprehensive portfolio of digital imaging products, consumables and services in the Western Australian market.

Following the merger, Len Page (previously of Anitech) will take on the role of State Manager of the new business and be supported by the existing Finchers staff members. For customers of both companies, it will be ‘business as usual’. The new business will continue to support and maintain all products currently offered by Finchers and DES.
Looking to the future, Ian Clare emphasised that the merger is not just an end in itself but rather a platform from which to explore new business opportunities.
