The THIEME 3000 D digital printing system, developed at Thieme, combines state-of-the-art digital components with Thieme machine technology.

Digital printing is not only gaining ground in the graphics sector but also in many industrial applications. Thieme, a leader in screen printing solutions, is following the demands of its customers and now presenting the first digital printing machine to be completely developed in house. It involves a variable Thieme 3000 Dmachine concept which can be individually tailored to customer needs.

Both the printing format and the transport technology are variable with different option packages also being offered. "Every customer receives their own customised machine", confirms Thieme Sales Manager Oliver Beck.  "Also with the new digital printing system, Thieme abides by its product strategy to not supply standard machines from a catalogue but rather individualized solutions."

The new digital printing machine is based on Thieme machine components.  As with Thieme screen printing machines, this machine is extremely sturdy and suited for industrial applications. The usual components such as feeders, transport systems, and stackers can also be integrated without restriction. It can even be combined with a screen printing station to create a hybrid machine. "Our extremely variable machine concept is not simply an adaptation of the typical graphics machines, but rather fully tailored to the needs of our industrial customers", emphasises Oliver Beck.  "Highly precise drive technology and carefully selected components make it possible to achieve very high resolution and productivity."

The new digital printing system was thoroughly tested in everyday operation as part of the development process and was unveiled on November 1, 2013.  A machine will be exhibited at the Fespa-Digital 2014 printing fair in Munich.
