Spandex Asia-Pacific has now stocked all of its warehouses with 3A Composites rigid media following its acquisition of Plas Image, which gained the company access to famous rigid substrates such as Kapaplast, Gatorfoam, ForeX, Fome-Cor and Smart-X.

“We are ready to service the flatbed UV printing and fabrication community with the best rigid media available, nationally,” says Spandex Managing Director Alex McClelland. “Prior to our acquiring Plas Image in late 2013, we were not really active in rigid media, so this is a new era for Spandex Asia-Pacific. We have always backed our product range with good, locally-held stock in every state and rigid media is now included in that promise.”

Spandex now carries stock in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane in most thicknesses and popular sizes of each 3A Composites brand. Screenboard paper board is also now featured in the rigid range, as are LumeX-G translucent bendable and vacuum formable PET-G sheets.

“The 3A Composites products are now in our pricebook for sales anywhere in Australia. We are fortunate that we have retained two very knowledgeable people from Plas Image in Ed Oleksyn and Stan Vidaic, now with Spandex and ready to help will any rigid media issue. We intend to be the industry’s leading rigid materials supplier within one year.” says McClelland.
